The Way it Ends [Info]

the champion is dead, caught in the explosion that devastated the sinnoh league. the once tall building now lays in ruins with radiation and danger lurking in every pile of rubble. the elite four were able to get out along with any challengers they were able to save, but those who didn't perished. this was the final battle between good and evil. innocence was lost as the darkness prevailed. under the rule of saturn, team galactic has finally won.

a decade had passed since the disappearance of cyrus and the supposed end of team galactic; however, commander saturn stepped up to take his place. the new boss was stronger than the old one could ever have imagined. even before the events at mount coronet, he had begun to put his plans into action. a new headquarters was being built off the eastern coast of sinnoh, taller, deeper, and better than the base in eterna. before the building was even finished, the base was put into use. the laboratories were completed, checked over a hundred times, and were finally safe to use. team galactic continued to play god with saturn carrying out his own plans underneath his boss's nose.

what made saturn's rule so great was that he had his own special weapon. his pokemon were stronger than the average, but they weren't pokemon at all. no, they were shifters, genetically enhanced humans born from test tubes who could change into the form of a pokemon. it was the perfect disguise. soon, he had small forces of people who looked like normal grunts, yet they didn't used pokemon to aid them. they had powers; they wielded the same strength of the creatures people had called upon for hundreds of years.

these new forces made his organization even stronger than before. they were able to infiltrate cities and take over using the element of surprise. the gym leaders were useless as they couldn't tell who to attack as saturn started allowing the use of everyday clothing in the more secretive missions. sinnoh fell to galactic rule after the canalave library was burnt to the ground and the sinnoh league was bombed in the middle of a tournament. they imposed heavy taxes, left many unemployed as they closed and businesses that could be used against them, and began recruiting at a wide scale to those who were willing to follow orders and saturn's rule.

they left the cities and towns relatively untouched, however, as long as they followed the new laws and paid their taxes. to those families that didn't, they kicked open their doors, arrested them, and split up their families. pokemon were confiscated, parents were sent to jail, and children and young teenagers were sent 'away'. word on the streets was that they were sent to a correctional facility so they didn't end up like their parents. the truth? they were taken to headquarters and experimented on, brainwashed into believing in the galactic way.

nothing too serious has been imposed just yet, but only time will tell how deep the region will sink.

TEAM GALACTIC

everyone knows them. they're the loons who decided to summon the creation trio and even the master of creation himself--arceus. ten years ago, their leader, cyrus, disappeared into the unknown after trying to create his own 'world' using the creation pokemon. after his disappearance, his commander, saturn, took over. under saturn's rule, the team began to flourish.

team galactic is, of course, the main criminal organization in the sinnoh region. in our universe, the hero never fully defeat the galactics. while they may have thought they did, the team grew in the darkness. the troops out on sinnoh retreated for only a year, making it seem like all had grown calm and peaceful in the region. in secret, however, they were planning, plotting, and creating. they still wanted to play god. their new base--well, it was in the process of being built while cyrus was still around--holds the key to their domination: the laboratories. grunts are normally sent out to retrieve data for the scientists--dna, test subjects, meteor fragments, etc. the creation of their laboratories can be found below.

team galactic is an ever-growing organization. they eagerly accept recruits to those willing to follow orders and their ideals. a majority of their population consists of grunts, the second largest group being scientists.yes, their wear weird uniforms, but saturn has made it to where grunts can wear casual clothes if they need to be in disguise. a galactic member is given one pokemon upon entering, all starting at their basic form.

EXPERIMENTS

there are many types of experiments that occupy the galactic laboratories, though there are three main types you can play. each type was created in the laboratories, though some might have been created by a different scientist who was trying to copy what team galactic was doing. the pokemon dna they have is the pokemon they are for life. they cannot 'evolve'. they cannot have pokemon as well as team galactic uses them on certain missions. they can befriend pokemon, but those pokemon must stay in the area they found them in. also, every experiment starts out in team galactic unless you give an amazing reason why they weren't. the number of runaway experiments will be very limited.

GIJINKA
everyone knows what these are. they are people with pokemon features which have been added on through different scientific methods and allowing it to develop under close observation. this is normally done by injecting a certain pokemon's dna into the human genetic code of a young child, preferably younger than five years of age, and watching them grow. they record all physical and mental changes that the child goes through. gijinka generally begin to display the normal characteristics of that pokemon, such as enhanced intelligence/memory and a shorter lifespan of that of an alakazam. most gijinka can use only the basics of that pokemon, such as producing flames, levitating themselves/objects, or flying. they cannot use actual moves, but they are stronger than normal humans and can be a threat if their emotions get the best of them.

SHIFTER
these experiments start at just an egg. yes, an egg. not a pokemon egg, but a human egg. they change around the genetic code of a pokemon before injecting it into the egg. the egg is left in a test tube in order for the scientists to make sure the egg will survive. if it does, then it is moved to a much larger tube where it says as it grows and develops. they don't remain for too long within the tube, however. as soon as they reach three years of age, they are let out and taught the basic necessities of life--how to walk, talk, eat with a fork and spoon, etc. these experiments seem like perfectly normal humans; however, if their anger rises or some other emotion does, then there is the possibility of  ears, tails, whatever appearing on their physical being. these subjects, however, can only use super basic powers in their human form, such as a spark of electricity, a small flame, etc. they are able to turn into their pokemon form at will, and they can use all the moves that pokemon can learn. however, their attack power is half of what it should be until they reach adulthood. the best way to tell a shifter and an actual pokemon apart is by their eyes. a shifter's eyes remain the same as their human form.

'HUMAN'
just like the rest, gene splicing is used in the creation of these experiments. they seem human in every way. the only difference is that they can use the general powers of the pokemon dna they have been given, and they can use ten moves of their pokemon. they are the easiest to smuggle into anywhere as long as they don't start shooting the place up. the general age these experiments are tested on is around thirteen to sixteen years of age as no more limbs/whatever else can form like it could if they were toddlers.

shifters tend to be the strongest of the three; however, 'humans' find it even easier to go anywhere, and the gijinka are just plain cute. also, those who are mixed with the dna of very powerful pokemon, such as legendaries or the fake-legendaries--like tyranitar and dragonite--are given a special collar that cuts their power down to 25%. this keeps them from really doing anything, especially if their emotions get the best of them. saturn has a remote that can turn the power off of any collar, allowing the experiment to shift/use their powers to their full extent/etc. also, these collars cannot be teleported out of, broken off, etc.

POLICE FORCE

the police force... do you seriously need an explanation for these guys? they try to stop team galactic and blah blah blah. oh, wait. they technically work for team galactic now! that's right, when team galactic took over the sinnoh region only a year ago, the police were forced to serve under them. that doesn't mean they all enjoy it. word is that the police are trying to gather trainers willing to rebel against the their current government. military occupation is fun, huh?
