Typically a very calm and quiet person Michael enjoys keeping to himself and staying within his own little world, however he understands that interaction with others is something he needs to do and because of it he'll at least attempt to make conversation with people that don't annoy him too much. Though Michael is somewhat of a social recluse he is a very caring person at his core, and wouldn't just walk away from those in need. In fact is he has the ability to help someone Michael will most likely be there to give them his help. Family is also something that is very important to Michael having grown up with a rather large one, and having been taught by his mother and father to value family above all else Michael will do anything for them. In fact when it comes to his family Michael is very protective of them and hurting them or insulting them is the most common way to pull him out of his calm and bring about his anger.
Despite Michael's normally calm and quiet personality he can be a bit of a smart ass when it comes to certain things. For example if someone were to say something was incorrect or false in nature and Michael knew the actually answer he'd find himself correcting them, which often leads to Michael getting on the nerves of some people. The young man can also be quite stubborn about a great deal of things, proving unmovable in his point of view.
While Michael has a attraction to the opposite gender he'll often himself not doing anything about it when he stumbles across a girl he actual enjoys. Why is this? Because he has a crippling fear of rejection that stops him from doing such things, the idea of being told no by a girl or by anyone in general has at times stopped him from doing a lot of things. In fact girls make me so uneasy that when actually around one that shows an interest in him back, he'll become a bumbling mess unable to keep himself together. While this is something he's been working on getting over, he has a long way to go before he could put into practical use.
Michael is also a rather focused person and despite how it may seem he enjoys learning and is by no means a nerd because of it. Boredom is another thing that Michael dislikes and it actually drives him a little crazy, he doesn't like just doing nothing without something to entertain him at least slight which is why he carries around his Poke-Pod. He also carries around the music player because he has a large interest in music listening to just about anything, he finds that often time’s music can truly capture the feelings of the word.
However when music fails to do so Michael can be found drawing a talent he developed over the course of his young life, with the help of his father who was a very skilled artist in his younger years. Drawing a picture while listening to music is one of Michael's favorite pass times when he isn't busy battling with the others and speaking of battles Michael thoroughly enjoys them. What trainer wouldn't? In fact it's Michael's lifelong goal to actually beat the champion of his home region Kalos, and to do so he realizes he has much to learn. When it comes to actually doing a battle one will find that Michael prefers to take a rather strategic approach to things instead of rushing in head firsts without any real plan of an attack.
Michael can't stand to find himself around people who are stupid, or that he views as stupid anyway. Anyone who can't grasp a basic understanding of the most simple things are sure to find themselves on Michael's shit list, with him giving them cold stares or simply blowing them off. He also isn't a big fan of repeating himself, if he's said it once he shouldn't have to bother with saying it another time as simple as that.
Standing at five foot nine and with a weight of one hundred and fifty pounds Michael is by no means an intimidating person, in fact his red eyes which would normally put most people off are typically very calm looking. His black hair is cut rather short as he only allows it to grow long enough to just barely touch the tip of his nose, and even then he bothers to style it so that his eyes can actually be seen. Often covered up by his clothes and left unseen by many is a scar on his right side, where he had one of his kidneys removed.
Michael's uniform is a red jacket with white strips down the sleeves and with a collar that rises up to just a little bit above his chin. The inside of the jacket is actually lined with wool, so whenever the winter hits he's able to wear the light looking jacket and remain warm. Underneath his jacket is a black short sleeved t-shirt, which has nothing of real importance to be noted about it. His pants are a pair of black jeans which are held in place by a black belt which has several notches on it for holding Poke balls; the pant legs also cover the back regions of his shoes which are red and white in color.
