PERSONALITY The setting for our story is the world of Castundana. A world that looks as though it's been ripped straight from the pages of medieval fantasy. Weaved into the very fabric of Castundana, magic, and one's strength with it define your status. It's ruled by the High Council, a group of the world's most elite magi, these High Lords each come from one of Castundana's five royal families. The five families are - Price, Valentine, Snow, Grimwood, and Ash.

It all began with a chance meeting between a noble and a commoner. Diana was working the front counter of an inn when she caught Elias's eye. A fire burned inside of him the moment his gaze met hers. The passion that they shared was fierce but short-lived. Elias was a married man and the moments they shared were stolen ones.
It was only a couple of months into their affair when Diana discovered she was pregnant. Upon hearing the news, Elias quickly ended things with her. He erased Diana and any evidence of their time together from his life. Thus she was forced to birth and care for the child herself.
Kaiden's time with his mother wasn't very long. She believed that Kaiden was the reason she'd lost the love of her life. Diana was neglectful and cold when it came to raising him. His first five years were spent alone and without love.
On the cusp of his sixth birthday, Diana would decide that she could longer stand the sight of him. With Kaiden in tow, she ventured to his father's castle and demanded to see him. The two argued, and after threatening to expose their affair, Elias agreed to take Kaiden in.
Clasping and tugging at the fabric of her dress, Kaiden begged his mother not to leave him. She kicked him aside and told him coldly, "You are nothing to me, and you never were." before continuing on her way out of the castle.
Despite now living with royalty, life wasn't easy for Kaiden. Ostracised and bullied by his siblings due to his 'muddled' blood; and kept at arm's length by his father, Kaiden had to adept to his new environment alone.

APPEARANCE The bastard child of Castundana royalty, Kaiden lacks many of the physical traits common amongst his family. His hair, for example, is far more unruly than what you'd see from his siblings. It reaches down to his neck and has bangs that are just long enough to obscure his vision. His hair is also two-toned in color, being white at the front but jet-black at the back.
Inherited from his father, Kaiden has golden eyes that glow faintly. When channeling magic, the intensity of the glow increases. Strong emotions - like anger will also cause the glow to intensify. While an emotion such as sadness will result in it dimming or fading entirely.

He's very blunt and will hurt your feelings without a second thought. That's if he bothers to engage with you in the first place. Kaiden's aloof and likes to keep others at arm's length.
Kaiden's built a wall around his emotions and only allows a select few to peak behind the barrier. Anyone who manages to get Kaiden to let down his wall will find that he's caring and protective. Both willing to put his life on the line for his friends and do anything for them. When around these special people, Kaiden can loosen up and crack jokes. Granted, none of the ones he tells are funny.
While not as bad as it was in the earlier portions of his life, Kaiden has deep-seated hate for those in positions of power. He spent his life in a world where people in those positions abused their power and treated others like trash. When confronted with this type of person or situation, he can often react rashly. He'll let his anger get the best of him and act without considering the consequences of his actions.
While coming off as brash and unintelligent, Kaiden does have a good head on his shoulders. More street smart than book smart, he can read people and situations quite well despite his aloofness. He is rather impatient, in the sense that he has a hard time sitting and doing nothing. Idle hands make for fretful minds, or so the saying goes. If there is daylight in the day, you're likely to find Kaiden doing something productive. Some might even call him a workaholic.

With a burst of magical energy, Kaiden will deliver a series of five strikes against a single target. Should four of the five hits land, the fifth strike will be made with the Keyblade covered in a radiant light.
Titan Smash
Kaiden will strike the ground with enough force to shake the very earth around him. Anyone on the ground and within 10ft of him will be thrown off balance and damaged.
MAGICAL ABILITIES
Sunfire
An offensive spell that releases a sphere of white flame from Kaiden's Keyblade or the palm of his hand. It's capable of traveling a small distance before spurring out of existence. The spell is unique in that it holds properties of both light and fire.
Sunfire Canister
With swift swings of his Keyblade, Kaiden will fire three spheres of white flames at an enemy. These spheres home in on the target's current location upon being released. Attempting to hit them from the left, the right, and from above. The spheres do not correct their path should the target move.
Spark
A light spell that creates several small daggers of light around Kaiden's person. The daggers will rotate around him at a slow but steady speed, slicing into anyone that gets too close. They remain active for 2 Posts before the spell must be cast again.
UNIQUE ABILITIES
Live - The Eyes of Yggdrasill
When activated, the color of his eyes changes to a vibrant green, and a strange symbol replaces his pupils. More than just an aesthetical change, Kaiden's physical and magical abilities dramatically increase while Live is active. He is faster, stronger, and the delay between his thoughts and actions decreases. He also becomes numb to the effects of pain.
Capable of far than mere enhancement, Live requires proper time and dedication to bring out its latent potential. Which can be dangerous given the side-effects associated with the abilities use.
Live effectively has a mind of its own - activating not according to the Kaiden's will but its own. When his life's in mortal danger, he accepts his death as the only outcome of a situation, or he attempts self-harm Live will activate. Overwriting his will and forcing him to survive by any means necessary.
That isn't to say forced activation isn't possible but doing so comes with severe side-effects. The first of which is the 'crash' that follows its deactivation. Kaiden will become tired to the point of exhaustion. Severe aches and cramps will riddle his body. Any pain previously being suppressed by Live will also hit him all at once.
The forced activation also produces a 'high' that makes Kaiden feel larger than life. Almost as if nothing could hold him back from getting what he wants. On the surface, this might not seem like an issue, but it often leads to reckless behavior. It's easy to become addicted to the rush it provides as well. If not careful, this can lead to mental changes that force him to seek out situations that cause Live to trigger
