Born in Goldenrod City on March 19th Michael would be the first born of Elias and Victoria Price. He spent two years of his childhood alone with his parents and in those two years without any siblings Michael was spoiled, and got everything he could ever want. All the attention he could need was his. That was until his mother announced to him that he would be getting a little brother or sister, and the news upset the toddler Michael. He didn't want to share his mother and father with anyone else, they were his after all. Three months after his third birthday Michael mother gave birth to his sister, Skylar. Like most children who recently got a new family member Michael had trouble adapting to his new sister. He couldn't help but feel like she was going to steal the attention from his mother and father away, but as time passed Michael learned to love his sister and realized the attention could be shared.
In fact as the two of them grew up together Michael would often times tell her this fantastic tales of things he had seen while exploring the city with his father. His sister eagerly bought into the stories her brother wove, but as they grew she eventually learned to see them for the stories that they were. Nonetheless whenever his sister would be having a bad day he would still try to cheer her up with the stories of how he had saved an Oddish, or bravely ventured into Ilex Forest. These stories didn't just have an effect on his relationship with his sister; they also sparked something in a young Michael. A want to adventure outside of Goldenrod City, to see everything that his region had to offer. He eagerly awaited for the day that he, like his father could adventure out and go on Pokemon Journey to see the amazing things of the world.
Michael spent a great deal of time with father during his youth, listening to the stories of his adventures intently and imagining himself in similar situations. Whenever his father would leave to go to another city on his business trips Michael beg to be taken along, and while most times he was met with a negative he did get to go once. He was ten and it was the month before his eleventh birthday the year in which his mother and father would let him go explore the region. His agreed to take Michael through Ilex Forest with him and into Azalea Town, on the condition that he stick close and listen to whatever his father had to say. Of course Michael agreed to the terms. They left and Michael will never forget the sights that he saw.
It had been his first time seeing any Pokemon aside from the ones that had already been caught by others, and seeing them within the forest was amazing. He watched the Apom moved along the trees, the Beedrill collect honey for their hives, the Oddish move around the forest floors, and Hoothoot nestle within the trees. This only made him even more eager to begin his journey.
A month later and Michael was ready to leave, his backpack was all packed full of clothes and items. His starter Pokemon a Growlithe which had been a close family pet stood by his side, and he kissed his family goodbye, promising them he'd be safe. His first location to visit was the city due north of Goldenrod, Ecruteak City. He spent a quite a few days within the confines of the historical landmark, and learned a great deal about its history while also training to make his Growlithe stronger. He even bothered to add a new member to his team the Pokemon known as Gastly. He even went so far as to challenge the gym leader a battle that didn't no go his way at all, but he didn't let that get him down he kept moving forward.
He had spent at least two months away from home before his phone rang, grim news awaited him. His mother had called to tell him that his father had passed away, a heart attack. The news hit him hard, and he made his way home to be with his family. This was one of the darker periods of Michael's life; he withdrew himself from the world, began to build up the wall around his emotions that is present within him today. After the funeral of his father, his mother begged him to say within Goldenrod City for a little while longer but Michael refused. He left late that night and began to move through the region with a new resolve within his mind.
He was going to see all of Johto and then move onto Kanto, he was traveling to see the sights his father could no longer see himself. It took him a whole year but he managed to see a very large portion of the Johto region. He even managed to get all the gym badges from his home region. He returned home and relaxed there for several months telling his family of everything that he had seen and been through, and they listened so eager to hear his stories. These ones however were different than the ones from his past, they were real...he had actually been through them.
He informed his mother that he planned to travel through Kanto and then perhaps even make a trip to Hoenn, and while she was uneasy she could see the fire within her son’s eyes. The twelve year old once again packed his bags and gathered his team of Pokemon and headed towards the ferry which would take him to Kanto. He can remember one thing about the boat ride to Kanto, and that is how boring it was for him. He had all this excitement eating away at him and nothing to do with it. When he arrived in Vermillion City the first thing he did was head towards Digletts Cave a place had had quite a few people on the boat talking about. It didn't live up to the hype which he had heard so many people talking about, and thus after only an hour he left and went to challenge the gym.
A battle with its Gym Leader took a lot of effort on Michael and it was certainly a lot harder than the Johto Gyms, but he managed to struggle through and receive his first Kanto Gym Badge. The time he spent with Kanto was long, and while the journey itself was filled with just as much excitement as his adventure through Johto he had...a harder time Kanto. He often found himself getting lost within it and because of this it took a grand total of two years for him to actually see the entire region. He didn't manage to get all of the badges within Kanto, only managing to snag four of them. It didn't upset him that much.
He once again returned home. He was much older and wiser than when he had left and once again he sat down to tell his family about everything he had been through. He stayed at home for year this time at the request of his mother. He also felt that it was nice for him to take a break from his travels every once in a while, and he hadn't seen spent much time with his family in the past few years. He had spent so much of his journey alone that it was nice to spend time with others.
The year passed so quickly though, and he left for Hoenn. His mother had informed that his cousins Erin, Percy, and Ashton might still be living in Hoenn and that if they were he should stop by and see them. He never got to see the trio. Unlike Kanto, Hoenn had a lot more going on for the young man. It would be in Hoenn where he met a girl named Sarah, a native of the region. He had been stuffing his face with local Hoenn food when he had spotted her, and automatically found himself falling for her. It was love at first sight. He approached, and tenderly asked for her name. He had never done something like this before, but despite that he didn't find himself nerves.
The two began to talk, talk so much that neither of them had noticed the dinner about to close. They exchanged numbers and parted ways with the promise that they would meet again. A promise that both kept as the very next day both were at the same diner again, eagerly waiting for the other. They didn't stay there long before they left to travel towards to the beach, where they talked and swam together. These flirtatious encounters went on for a two months before Michael asked her if she wanted to travel with him, and she agreed. The duo made their way through the Hoenn region, enjoying each other’s company greatly.
They saw many sights, and did a great deal of things together. He spent two years on Hoenn with her and not once did he ever try to gather a Gym Badge why bother? He was someone so much more important than that. He couldn't help but feel as though this is what his mother and father felt like when they first met. It was time for the seventeen year old to leave Hoenn though and travel through Sinnoh but he didn't want to do it alone. He had spent so much time with Sarah that it would feel awkward traveling without her, so he asked if she wanted to go with him. She agreed.
They left for Sinnoh, the largest region Michael had ever traveled through. Sinnoh is the region where Michael had his fall. The first year within Sinnoh was great for the two of them, they covered a lot of ground and Michael even went about fighting Gym Leaders once more. Things seemed so perfect for the young couple. Things would only get better when one night amongst the starlit sky and in the town of flowers, a nineteen year old Michael asked Sarah to marry him. She agreed with tears of joy streaming down her face. They began to make arrangements for the wedding. It was to be in the same place Michael proposed to her at, and it would have been perfect. If tragedy hadn't struck.
They were exploring Mount Coronet and were deep within cavern base, when an earthquake hit. The ground shakes so violently as the due walked through the cave forcing them to cling to the walls, as if it was going to help them. The sheer force of the earthquake caused boulders to come lose that were above the two of them, boulders that Michael hadn't noticed...but Sarah had. She reacted quickly and pushed Michael out of the way, and the young man had to watch as they crushed the woman he loved. He cried, he cried harder than he had ever cried before. He had just the most important thing to him. That day a piece of the young man broke.
The wall that was around his emotions returned and became stronger. He wandered around the streets of Sinnoh broken and homeless. He spent a year like this, a year dwelling in his own sadness on the streets of Sinnoh with a place to go. He didn't want to reach out to his mother, she didn't need to see him like this...no one did. He didn't want to die though; he didn't want to waste the gift Sarah had given him. So he did whatever it took to keep himself alive while moving through Sinnoh with no money and no real place to stay. It's been two years since then and the damage to his heart has finally started to heal, and he's finally got enough money to go somewhere else. He's not going home though; he's going to a new region and getting a fresh start, and is even bringing along a Pokemon from the Sinnoh Region with him. A Shinx he caught and named Raiju.
